Taiwanese Traditional Breakfast

In Taiwan, breakfast usually comes in the form of street food. Vendors will set up shop on the curbside in the morning hours and make these dishes on the spot for commuters on their way to work via foot or mopeds. Nowadays in Taiwan, most of shops were sells the American’s. Such as hamburger, toast.....So, I’d like to show you what Taiwanese breakfast is. Taiwanese breakfasts are more traditional and also there are many kinds of breakfast you can choose. 

Clay oven roll 



230~250 calories for a clay oven roll 

Fried bread stick

Chinese fried bread stick

252 calories for a fried break stick

And the interesting thing is that Taiwanese will mix them and eat. It would become like this ↓



Around 500 calories for a clay oven roll with fried break stick.

Rice porridge



250 calories for a bowl of rice porridge.

Fried-Dumpling (with pork in it.)



70 calories for one fried-dumpling.

Rice Ball (Usually with egg, pork sung and dried radish in it.)



600 calories for a rice ball.

Chinese omelet (it can have many different taste, you can choose such as cheese, ham, pork sung.....etc.)

520 calories for a Chinese omelet.

Bean milk 



Around 170 calories for a bowl of bean milk.

Peanut milk


Around 180 calories for a bowl of peanut milk.

The total calories of these foods are 2792 calories


These are some examples for Taiwanese traditional breakfast. There are still a lot of foods you can choose. Taiwanese is very creative, they will mix something and eat. That's the reason I choose to talk about Taiwan's breakfast.
